Have you always thought about “putting something back” but have never known where to start?
If you need any help, or just want to have a chat about volunteering, you can get in touch by phone or email, please see our contacts page for more information, or you can drop in at local libraries, see below.
As a volunteer you can choose how much time you want to give and what you want to do. And it’s not all about what you give. By volunteering you can boost your confidence, meet new people, learn new things, improve your community and do something positive with your time. Perhaps you’re retired and want to put existing skills to good use or maybe you’re unemployed and need to plug gaps in your CV, or gain valuable training, work experience and a reference? For anyone with spare time on their hands, volunteering can be fun, challenging and rewarding.
Do you need a little help to get your volunteering started?
You can pop along to your local library for a chat with our friendly Outreach Assistants, who will be on hand to answer all your volunteering questions and let you know about the many and varied opportunities available in your local area.
You can either contact us to make an appointment or just drop-in at one of our library sessions.
You can also visit us at our offices in Broadstairs, please contact us to make an appointment first.
