Define Retirement is a project run by Thanet Volunteer Bureau in partnership with voluntary sector organisation Citizens Rights for Older People (CROP) as part of the Stronger Kent Communities Programme.*
Free Retirement Planning Events
We are working with employers across Kent to run free retirement planning information sessions, to help ease the transition of employees into retirement. It’s a chance for employers to support their staff and to support the community.
We have brought information together with professional advisers, to help find answers to people’s retirement planning questions.
We can provide a half day or day session, at your premises, with speakers, Q&A with experts and information stalls on topics such as:
- staying active and healthy
- social networks and contact
- financial management, pensions advice & scams & legal considerations
- personal experiences of retirement.
- volunteering, its benefits and its value to society.
Feedback from delegates at previous events:
“Great event and super speakers”
“Really enjoyable, interesting and helpful”
“A very useful session”
Please contact Georgie.firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to book a session for your staff.
*Stronger Kent Communities programme is a voluntary sector partnership including Funding for All, Action with Communities in Rural Kent, KentCAN and a number of the Volunteer Centres from across Kent including Thanet Volunteer Centre. It is funded for at least three years, although it is intended to create a sustainable model of support for the Volunteering Community Sector in Kent in the longer term.
